Speech presentations

I felt that Jim's speech was one of the best presentations today. His speech affected me because not only did he have statistics and a calm way of speaking but Jim also used personal stories to influence the listener. I think that this was a very good way to go about the speech. Jim started by discussing that 9 individuals arrived at University on Saturday morning. This attacked my emotions because I immediately felt guilty that I did not show up to help at the Lord's Pantry. Jim also included many personal details which strengthened his speech greatly. 

Erin's speech also affected me greatly. I think that Erin's speech motivated me because I volunteer for both the bowling and track and field special olympics. Erin discussed the affects that her experience in the Track and Field olympics brought to her. Her speech was motivational and it brought me back to the times when I first began volunteering. I was able to see the faces of the competitors and that proved that her speech appealed to my emotions. I really enjoyed that Erin discussed that she did not only want money for the Special Olympics but that Time was also valuable. Both of these speeches strongly appealed to my emotions.
