I.C proposal (progress)
I was thinking about various topics for my Inquiry contract proposal and I think that I finally settled on an idea. I was thinking about doing a paper on senior rights. I have always felt very strongly on the topic so I figured it would be a good topic to work on for the following months. I wanted to write about the senior rights that seniors all over the country enjoy and how here at University we are not allowed to earn these rights. I figured that this would be a topic in which i would be able to represent the view of the students and the view of the faculty or the parents. There are many different views on the subject. It will also be easy to get information because i will simply talk to students from other high schools and i can talk to different teachers.

I think this is a very good idea for a proposal because you could potentially use it to present to the faculty once you have finished. I too think that because we are going to be senior next year it would be nice to have some of the privileges that other schools do to make our last year feel more high school like. I also think that because University is a growing high school and is going to continue to increase in size it would be a good change to the development of the school.
Kenzie I like your idea!
I find it confusing that University promotes so much independence among our students and advertises that as a quality that separates us from other schools, but a tradition across high-school's nation wide we aren't permitted. I think a good support to your paper should include an interview or some sort of representation of how much a current senior student at a different high school who does allow senior privileges values that right and what it adds to his/her senior experience.
